Magic Whiteboard
The Brief
This company’s innovative ‘whiteboard from a roll’ had already won investment from celebrity BBC Dragon’s Den stars Theo Paphitis and Deborah Meadon.
Searching for a creative way in which to promote their range of use-anywhere products, Magic Whiteboard approached produced a brief to develop an iPad app that would be popular with children, allowing them to draw and colour on a variety of backgrounds.
The App
The app features a range of pens, stamps and stickers which can be customised by colour and thickness. Users are able to select from a series of different drawing backgrounds or colour in a range of line drawings split down in to difficulty levels. Photos can also be imported from the device and used as background images.
In order to promote Magic Whiteboard’s commercial offering, the development included a section which showcased the Magic Whiteboard product range. Flurry Analytics were installed, allowing Magic Whiteboard to closely monitor how users interact with the app and help to plan future enhancements.
The Result
The app has been a huge success for Magic Whiteboard, consistently appearing in the Top 10 Paid Entertainment iPad apps in the World as well as the top 50 apps in all categories. It has also generated an enormous amount of press coverage for Magic Whiteboard, and even earned the praise of Dragon Theo Paphitis.
